Calling all 83 year olds!

8/29/2017

Saturday, September 23
The custom of celebrating a second Bar or Bat Mitzvah at age 83 comes from the verse in Psalm 90, "The days of our years are seventy, or if by reason of special strength, eighty years..." At 70, one can start counting again. Add 13 years, and you get 83!
Whether it is your first or second time celebrating a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, it is a wonderful way to honor your commitment to Judaism and to our community.

If 2017 is the year you have or will turn 83, we invite you to mark your simcha with an aliyah at Shabbat morning services on Saturday, September 23, so that we can offer a blessing to you in person. For more information, please contact Evan Stern at 952.215.3916 or evans@adath.net

Joyce Orbuch and Dorothy Pink, Co-Chairs
Second B’nai Mitzvah Class of 2017
