Judy and Mike Berman Invest in Adath's Future
It is a rare and special gift when one is able to see beyond the present and look to the future with faith and promise. Mike and Judy Berman have that unique gift.
Eighteen years ago, Mike and Judy joined Adath after moving to the Twin Cities with their two young boys, Noah and Oren, from the East Coast. The Bermans made the Twin Cities Jewish community home by sending their boys to the Minneapolis Jewish Day School, serving on the boards of local Jewish organizations and supporting the community through their philanthropy. In addition to their commitment to the local and national Jewish communities, the Bermans have also shown their dedication to Israel, where they lived for 5 years and where the family maintains a residence today. |
The Bermans are both innovators in their field, Judy a scientist and distinguished McKnight professor at the University of MN in genetics and cell biology, and Mike a "venture catalyst," serving on the boards of numerous medical device enterprises. They both are future thinkers and this is reflected in their giving as well, since they wish their gift to the Adath Foundation to remain unrestricted and to support the greatest needs of the day. This is most exciting as Adath is currently in the process of strategic planning, which will determine its focus for the future.
Mike and Judy believe that righteousness is raising yourself to a higher level and in doing so, raising those around you as well. Mike and Judy have done that beautifully through the creativity and inspiration they have modeled in their careers, their home life and their commitment to Jewish values.
Their recent commitment to the Adath Foundation will ensure their values will transcend to future generations of Adath members.
