Adath Annual Benefit Honoring Rabbi Harold Kravitz
Rabbi Harold Kravitz has served Adath Jeshurun Congregation since 1987 and has held the Max Newman Family Chair in Rabbinics since becoming Senior Rabbi in 1996. Named one of America's 36 Most Inspiring Rabbis by the Jewish Daily Forward in 2013, Rabbi Kravitz has devoted nearly four decades to compassionate, steady, and thoughtful leadership. Over the course of his career Rabbi Kravitz has served as the President of the Rabbinical Assembly and the chair of the board of MAZON: a Jewish Response to Hunger and has been engaged with strengthening the Masorti-Conservative Movement in Israel and around the world. At the end of May, Rabbi Kravitz steps down as Senior Rabbi, and will continue in an Emeritus role. Rabbi Kravitz has been blessed with 43 years of marriage to his life partner, Cindy Reich, a Jewish educator. Both originally from Philadelphia, they have made their home here in Minnesota where they raised their children, Gabe, Talia, and Elana. Their family has grown to include daughter-in-law Yael Smiley and grandchildren Joshua and Yona Smiley Kravitz with whom they love playing the roles of Zaide and Bubby.

Join us for an evening of music with Meira Silverstein and Alexander Fiterstein
Meira Silverstein graduated from Yale with a Masters of Music in Violin Performance. Previously based in Minneapolis, she played frequently with the Minnesota Orchestra while serving as Adult Learning Coordinator for Adath Jeshurun Congregation. Meira is currently a professional freelance musician in the Baltimore area. Alexander Fiterstein, clarinet, was born in Belarus and raised in Israel, went on as a teenager to attend Interlochen Center for the Arts, in Michigan, and then studied at Juilliard in New York City. He released his first solo album on the Bridge label featuring only the music of Carl Maria von Weber.
