Dear Adath Jeshurun Congregation,
We are excited to share with you some wonderful news! Based on the recommendation of our Covid Advisory Committee, and the greatly improved case reports for Hennepin County, we are delighted to be able to begin the process of relaxing our safety policies.
Adath's COVID-19 Safety Policy Highlights:
Vaccination expected (ages 12+):
It is expected for all those ages 12 and over entering Adath's building to be fully vaccinated if medically eligible. Those who are not vaccinated must wear well-fitting, high quality filtration masks (N95/KN95/KF94), which we will continue to make available at the entrance.
Outdoor Gatherings: There are no requirements for outdoor gatherings.
Adath Jeshurun and Gan Shelanu Staff: 100% of staff is vaccinated. All staff are required to show proof of full vaccination. All Gan Shelanu staff must wear a mask over their nose and mouth while in the presence of students.
Stay home if sick: If you are feeling ill or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home and join us via live stream.
Our policy stated above is regularly reviewed by our COVID-19 Advisory Committee of health professionals and Adath leadership based on changing conditions and the latest medical findings.
As the great rabbinic sage Maimonides taught (Hilkhot Rotzeah 11:4):
“And so too every stumbling block which is liable to kill, it’s a positive commandment (mitzvat aseh) to remove it and to guard against it and to be very, very careful, as it is said, 'But guard yourself and guard your soul.” (Deuteronomy 4:9).
