What is Shavuot?Shavuot is the springtime pilgrimage festival that celebrates the giving of Torah on Mt. Sinai. Timed to the first grain harvest on the agricultural calendar, Shavuot concludes the period of the counting of the Omer. The primary traditions of Shavuot include eating dairy products, studying late at night, and reading the biblical Megillah (book) of Ruth.

We All Stood at Sinai: The poetry of revelation
On the night we celebrate the giving of Torah, join the clergy team in a dynamic text study, examining the intersection of Divine revelation and poetic expression. Like the Torah that was given at Sinai, the poetry of revelation represents a multiplicity of voices across generations, giving texture, contour and voice to the divine - human encounter. Our learning will be accompanied by a delicious cheesecake buffet.
