Multi-Heritage Weddings and Intermarriage at Adath

As we open the Many Doors to Jewish Life, the Adath clergy team will be exploring what our participation in wedding ceremonies for multi-heritage couples could look like. Multi-heritage couples include one partner who is Jewish and one partner who comes from another background.

Because this is a direction we'd like to go, and we recognize there will be different perspectives, we'd like to hear feedback from you. We hope to learn together before a path forward is charted.

Read: Brandeis University Cohen Center for Jewish Studies Report on Intermarriage. This report explores several essential questions about the relationship between Jewish clergy presence at weddings for intermarrying couples and their connection to the Jewish community. It has been a source of information for the USCJ Intermarriage Working Group of which Hazzan Dulkin is a member.
