Martin and Laura Lipshutz Add Life to Their Giving for Adath's Future
We often say that all Jews are mishpacha (Hebrew word for family), as we hold a common heritage and values. This sense of family is often extended to one's congregation as the Synagogue can be for many a center of Jewish life.
Martin and Laura Lipshutz moved to Minnesota and joined Adath Jeshurun Congregation in 1983 and have been members now for over 37 years. "Adath has always been the backdrop of our Jewish lives," says Laura, "as another member of our family." Over the years, Adath was always there as they grew as a couple and as a family with the birth of their children. Their daughter, Sara, and son, Michael, attended Gan Shelanu, Sunday School and were B'nai Mitzvah at the Synagogue. Many of their friendships were established in those early years and remain strong to this day for them and their young adult children. |
In the midst of their active careers, Martin & Laura Lipshutz understand the importance of supporting Adath's needs today through their Synagogue membership and annual gifts to the L'Chaim Campaign. Recently, they decided to think about their long-term giving and began to explore planned giving particularly in the area of life insurance. "We were thrilled to learn that we would be able to give something more substantial than we ever imagined and that our gift will be quite meaningful in the long-term", says Laura. Martin added, "We want the synagogue to be in strong financial condition so it can be there for our children and future generations." We welcome Martin and Laura Lipshutz into the Adath Foundation's Legacy Society and thank them for their commitment to Adath's future.
