Mazel Tov, Jeannie Gilfix!Shem Tov Award Winner 2026
We are pleased to announce that Jeannie Gilfix is our 2026 Shem Tov Award Winner. The Shem Tov Award is a coveted recognition of an Adath congregant who has, for many years, exemplified extraordinarily dedicated service to our Adath community. Jeannie will receive her Shem Tov Award at the 142nd Annual Meeting on Friday, May 29.
For years, Jeannie has given back to her Adath community through a myriad of meaningful volunteer roles. She has worked for many years as a tutor and teacher in the Shabbat Morning Program. She served on the Adath Board and took on added responsibility as the Vice President of Primary Education and later, Vice President of Adult Learning. She helped to establish the Inclusion Committee at Adath, which focuses on welcoming and providing for the needs of differently abled children and adults to facilitate their involvement in congregational life at Adath. Jeannie is also presently an active leader in the Atid Committee, which encourages social connections and programming opportunities for adults 50s+ at Adath. The Adath community looks forward to recognizing Jeannie with the Shem Tov Award in recognition of the many roles she has played at Adath and her devotion to helping educate and welcome members to engage more fully in our congregational life. |
