Security - Access Control System Operational
Ensuring the Safety and Security of Our Building
The Adath Jeshurun Security Committee implemented a major change to improve the security of our building. An access control system was installed to keep the building secured throughout the week. Securing the building enhances safety by controlling access to congregation members and guests.
What You Need to Do: Depending on when you typically come to the synagogue, you may not need to do anything. Adath’s doors will continue to be open during morning and evening services. If you come to the synagogue other than service times, you will need to request a custom household access code. Each household may choose its own unique 5-digit access code. In addition, if you would prefer the convenience of a keycard or keychain fob, you may purchase one for $20.
You can choose a code and/or order a fob, just download the Adath Access Code Request Form HERE
An Access Request Order Form will also be mailed directly to members' homes.
Entering the Building: The Gan Shelanu Preschool entrance at the west end of the building will now only be accessible for Gan Shelanu Preschool families and disabled congregants, who may request disability access. The main entrance and parking lot entrance will be open during service times. During non-service hours, congregants can access the building using their 5-digit custom access code or keycard/fob. If you don’t have an access code or keycard/fob and need to enter the building when the main office is open, all entry doors will have an intercom so you can be buzzed in. When the main office is closed, a phone number will be posted for you to call for admittance.
Thank You for Your Support: The leadership and staff of Adath remain committed to ensuring the safety of building visitors, as well as retaining an open and welcoming atmosphere. We ask that congregants stay vigilant in looking for anything out of the ordinary. “If you see something, say something.”
To help defray the costs for ongoing security needs, including training and equipment, please consider making a donation to the Adath Security Fund HERE.

Your help will ensure Adath remains a safe and welcoming community.
