Genetic Links and Fatcs - An Important Event for YOU!

Sponsored by the Women’s Leagues of Adath Jeshurun, Beth El and B’nai Emet, this program will take place at Adath Jeshurun. It will include the latest information about the increased risk of breast and ovarian cancer to women of Ashkenazi decent. We will provide a forum wherein you may ask questions and get answers and resources.
Our featured speaker is Shari Baldinger, M.S., a certified Genetic Counselor and Coordinator of Genetic Counseling Services at Abbott Northwestern hospital in Minneapolis. Shari is also on the staff of Children’s Health Care in Minneapolis and teaches at the University of Minnesota Genetic Counseling Graduate program and Medical School. Shari initiated genetic counseling services at HCMC, United Hospital, Park Nicollet and the Fairview system.
The program will also include information from the congregational nurses at Adath and Beth El. There will be other key speakers, plus a discussion on being your own advocate when talking with health care providers.
This major community event is open to all women, men, friends, family, neighbors and co-workers. This is too important to be missed by any of us!
