Dead Sea Scroll Scholar Shalom Paul

We welcome renowned Bible and Dead Sea Scrolls scholar Shalom Paul to speak at Shabbat morning services on February 20. Professor Paul will speak about "Jerusalem: Eternity in Time and Space". Shalom Paul is Professor Emeritus and Former Chair of the Bible Department of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Chair of the Dead Sea Scrolls Foundation and author of many books on the Bible and the Ancient Near East. The upcoming Dead Sea Scrolls: Words that Changed the World exhibition at the Science Museum of Minnesota will offer our community an unprecedented opportunity to explore one of the great archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Through the Science Museum and the Talmud Torah of Minneapolis co-sponsorship, we are fortunate to welcome Shalom Paul to Adath. On Saturday evening, February 20, he is launching the museum’s Distinguished Lecture Series on the Dead Sea Scrolls. On Sunday he will meet with Talmud Torah of Minneapolis students.
