Gan Katan is Adath Jeshurun’s Jewish Early Childhood and Family Education program for children (age 0 to 2 years) and their parent(s). Join instructor Jodi Rubin, MFT, in this rich and meaningful early Jewish experience of community and education. The curriculum has been cultivated to help children grow and develop, to provide information and support for parents and to enrich Jewish family life.
Wednesday morning (9:30 – 10:30 a.m.) and Thursday evening (6:00 – 7:00 p.m.) classes will run from January 18 to March 22 for the Winter session.
Children will enjoy circle time and age appropriate crafts with their parents as discussion continues. Topics could include: child development, infant massage, sleep issues, Judaism in your home, feeding issues, discipline, sibling and spousal relationships, and raising Jewish kids in a non-Jewish world.
Jodi Rubin is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She uses her experience in the field - both professionally and as a mom of four young children - to create and teach our Gan Katan program.
