A Word about Our Presenters:

Cantor Scott Buckner of Adath Jeshurun is a performer and long-time collector of Jewish music.

Shelly Christensen, MA, is the Program Manager of the Jewish Community Inclusion Program for People with Disabilities. Marlee Kivens is a self-advocate and Chair of Adath Jeshurun's Inclusion Committee. Veta Segal is a long-time parent advocate and community organizer for social justice.

Rabbi Barry Cytron is Assistant Director for Religious and Spiritual Life and Jewish Chaplain at Macalester College and Adath Jeshurun's Senior Scholar.

Walter Elias is Co-Chair of the Sabes Foundation Minneapolis Jewish Film Festival, which will take place April 8-18, 2010. Diane Pecoraro is a long-time member of the Festival's Film Selection Committee.

Harlan Jacobs is a national board member of the North American Conference on Ethiopian Jewry (NACOEJ) which strives to provide sustenance and hope for the 8,700 Jews who languish in Ethiopia while waiting to be processed for admittance to Israel. Brad Lehrman is a founder of the MN Interfaith Darfur Coalition, which is sponsoring a new initiative to support a sister school for refugees of the genocidal conflict in Darfur, Sudan.

Rabbi Harold Kravitz holds the Max Newman Family Chair in Rabbinics at Adath Jeshurun and chairs the Vaad HaKavod, the professional ethics committee of the Conservative Movement's Rabbinical Assembly.

Jodi Lassner, a vegetarian for over 20 years, came to Adath from Israel with her husband Rabbi Yonatan Sadoff last summer. She loves cooking, Shabbat and alternatives to lasagna.

Jules Levin, Irv Nudell and Sylvia Schwartz were Minnesota children of the Great Depression. Neal Gendler is a retired Star Tribune staff writer and child of parents who lived through the Great Depression.

Rabbi Yonatan Sadoff recently returned from Jerusalem to his hometown of Minneapolis to become Adath Jeshurun's Assistant Rabbi.

Noga Shavit, the Minneapolis Community Shlicha, serves as an Israeli emissary to the community.
